Short history about V.V.G
Vincent Van Gogh a Dutch character were his country is all windy, rainy, grey... so here we have the first idea of pressure. V.V.G later on moved to Arles in the south of France and there V.V.G was strongly influenced and inspired by two elements : Colour & Light. These particular elements were not present in his country.
Self Portrait of Vincent Van Gogh (V.V.G).
V.V.G had famous hands for portraits and Sunflowers.

V.V.G's Dynamic look.
Van Gogh always included that unique technique, that Dynamic technique that when the viewers eye looks right at the painting he sees a kind of movement, so that is why Dynamic. What makes it Dynamic ? Some people may not see his work as realistic and I am one of those, but there are others that do see his work in a realistic view, Dynamic is all about movement (Realistic). There is speed in his work, a speed that he knows exactly what he is doing, he knows his work by heart.
Vincent's Sunflower.
Bright colours, Earth colours.

Cypress Tree by Vincent Van Gogh.
There is much to say in this artwork, again it is Dynamic, but what makes it ? This is the method that he use, the method with the brush are all strong and heavy brush strokes so when looking at it most probably the first word is : Sketchy. That was his technique. Brush strokes are circular, so the sky - the clouds are as if real and even the trees, as if there is the wind blowing.

V.V.G influenced by Japanese Art.
Vincent was even influenced by the Japanese art but he was a wise artist so he did imitate their drawings in his own artistic way. These artworks are the same subject but the one on the left is the original Japanese artwork changing sides we can see V.V.G's imitation.
Clearly enough there is a big difference, the Japanese art is mostly to be with strong colours, black outline, comic like - illustration. Whilst Vincent's artwork is again Dynamic mostly real ! Indicating heavy brush strokes.
